A Return Visit to the HERU AVENGER Archives!
This past Monday, fellow RENDEZVOUS! resident AM (a.k.a. George Ben Sun) and I made a return visit to record collector extraordinaire (and good friend) John Basil's (a.k.a. Heru Avenger) home. We spent our time there flipping through his enormous record collection**, listening to tunes, going "ooh and aah" over his insane VHS and literature collections, and even making some trades! Heru Avenger RENDEZVOUS! DJ Set (from 6 June)
Ubiquity Records' Heru Avenger returned to RENDEZVOUS! on 6 June 2012 to drop an amazing set of tunes sourced from all original vinyl, of course. He also very kindly typed up a tracklist for us. Check it out!

Henry Clearstar RENDEZVOUS! DJ Set (from 6 June)
Ubiquity Records' Henry Clearstar returned to RENDEZVOUS! on 6 June 2012 to drop another incredible set of tunes sourced from all original vinyl. Unfortunately, I don't have a tracklist, but I'm sure you'll recognize a few tracks. I do know that it starts off with "Space Woman" by Herman's Rocket (J.P. Massiera). It's an amazing selection of disco-funk-psych...you just have to check it out!

RENDEZVOUS! with Special Guest DJ Mza! (2 May 2012)
Join us on Wednesday, May 2nd as we welcome the return of DJ Mza to RENDEZVOUS! Our man has been digging and he's got plenty of heat to share with us! Expect to hear late-60's to early 80's Italo-Gallic soundtracks-library-disco-synthsonic oddities, AND view, by not-so-popular demand, more weird and sometimes offensive b-movies. There will also be a visit by a gourmet food truck! Add in several pints of beer and you've got a great mid-week night out...

Next RENDEZVOUS! is Tonight!!
Join us TONIGHT, Wednesday, February 1st as RENDEZVOUS! returns for its monthly session at Verdugo Bar! We've been digging and have got lots of new goodies to share with you. Expect to hear 60's thru early 80's Euro horror and soft-porn soundtracks, library, funky cop breaks, and cheap Italian disco edits. This month we are also super excited to be screening on the big screens an exploitation double-feature selected by guest curator Jason Bigelow! Mr. Bigelow has picked some conversation starters, let's just put it that way. PLUS, as if that weren't enough, the delectable Pnut Butter Bar food truck will be parked on the premises!
